Within days, the means of mass media exaggerate the view that the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II invited Mr. Paata Burchuladze to participate in elections as a Candidate for President of Georgia, and promised his support. In some newspapers was even named a specific date of a "secret meeting" of the Catholicos-Patriarch and Mr. Paata Burchuladze.

This information is false and untrue. The Georgian Church has always been and will remain in the future a unifying force of the country.
