With the blessing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the festival was founded in 2006. The International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and “Akaki Ramishvili Foundation – Tradition and Innovation” are the founders of the festival.

THE VI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL “FROM EASTER TO ASCENSION”

From April 1 to May 27, 2011 in Tbilisi will be held The VI International Festival "From Easter to Ascension". The founder and organizer of the festival is The International Charitable Foundation of The Catholicos – Patriarch of All Georgia.

Artistic Director of the festival is the famous Georgian pianist Alexander Korsantia, which currently lives and occupies in US.

The concerts will be held at the Conservatory Great Hall. On May 1 the Tbilisi City Event Hall will host a grand charitable gala concert, where will be performed a new musical composition “SUNCTUS” which is composed by His Holiness and Beatitude, The Catholicos – Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II. The composition is written for 4 soloist, chorus and symphonic orchestra.

All income will be spent on establishment of the "Marionettes’ Opera Theatre", where children will be screened with performances based on the fairy-tales.
